MusicTek's new venue is now open and we are booking bands, below is just some of the stuff we will be doing,

Battle of the Bands.

Every September MusicTek organises a Battle of the Bands contest that invites 32 local bands to battle it out out in 8 heats, 4 quarter finals, 2 semi finals and a Grand Final to find an overall winner. This competition is very popular and is widely recognized as the best and most professional run competition in the south of England.

All Day mini festival.

The Tek proudly hosts the MusicTek bi monthly all day event. the only one of its kind in the area, and again very popular with the local bands and music lovers. 17 bandsplay on 2 stages back to back for 12 hours. A long day but well worth it. These events are usually co organised by our mates at waffle but sometimes beerbelly promotions and freak step in and do their own all dayer. 

Havering Young Rock Band of the Year.

Every spring the Tek hosts this council run competition. Again its a very popular wth local bands and music lovers and even the Mayor comes down for the Final. This year we had the pleasure of the deputy Mayor and he turned out to be a guitarist - what a top bloke.

Acoustic nights.

Every other Friday we all get the acoustics out and sit around the stage surrounded by candles and soft lights. A very laid back night but always very well attended. 

The bands that gig at the Tek are getting better and better all the time. Its only a matter of time before it gets some Record Company interest. This is the whole point of this website, to provide an online portfolio for the Tek and for the bands who gig here. This year we plan to spread our wings and attract bands form outside the area.
